It took awhile but the Nike Air Max Griffey 1 finally releases in a colorway representing the Cincinnati Reds, the team the Kid played for during the latter part of his career. This may be a new colorway, but the silhouette utilizes the same materials from many previous releases. Black patent leather warps around the entire sneaker while white platinum mesh and grey nubuck complete the upper. A Cincinnati Reds colorway wouldn’t quite be a Reds colorway without the vibrant red that appears prominently on the midsole, the “24” on the strap, and on the swoosh outline.
The Nike Air Max Griffey 1 “Cincinnati Reds” drops Saturday, June 15th at Foot Locker locations and online for $150.
